Official translation in the UAE means certified translation by a translator licensed by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ). Every official translation carries the translator's MOJ licence number, official stamp, and signature — the combination accepted by Dubai Courts, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), GDRFA, MOHRE, ICA, MOFA, DLD, and all UAE government entities.
We hold MOJ Licence #701. Our official translations are used for court submissions, visa and immigration applications, Golden Visa document packages, real estate transfers, and free zone company registrations. Documents can be submitted as a certified PDF (digital delivery) or a stamped hard copy with courier delivery across all seven emirates.
Common documents requiring official translation in the UAE: birth, marriage, and death certificates; educational degrees and transcripts; police clearance certificates; powers of attorney and notarial acts; corporate documents including trade licences, MOAs, and board resolutions; and property title deeds. Legal translation in Dubai and official translation in Abu Dhabi follow the same MOJ certification standard.
Official translation is not the same as a standard translation. A translation agency without an MOJ licence cannot produce an official translation — even if the translation is accurate. UAE government offices check for the MOJ stamp and licence number on every submission. Translations missing these identifiers are rejected at the counter, regardless of the document content. The two most common rejection reasons: a licence number that does not appear in the MOJ registry, and a translator name on the stamp that does not match the registered licence holder.
Turnaround for official translation: most standard documents (certificates, contracts under 10 pages, degree transcripts) are completed same day. Large corporate document sets or specialised medical records take 1–2 business days. Digital delivery is standard — a certified PDF is accepted by GDRFA, MOHRE, and ICA online portals. Hard copies with courier delivery are available for DLD, court filings, and entities that require original stamps.

An official translation in the UAE is a document translated by a translator licensed by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ). It carries the translator's MOJ stamp, signature, and licence number, making it legally valid for courts, government ministries, and attestation. Without MOJ certification, translations are not accepted for legal or administrative proceedings in the UAE.
