What You Need to Know About Bank Statement Translation
The Real Question: How Much Do I Need to Show?
This depends entirely on your visa category. There is no single answer because different visa types have different financial thresholds. Here is what we see most often:
Golden Visa (Investor) AED 2 million in deposits or investments
Golden Visa (Skilled Employee) Monthly salary AED 30,000+ (statements support this)
Investor Visa (Standard) Varies by investment amount and type
Family Sponsorship Income proof based on family size
We do not advise on whether your balances meet the threshold. That is for your immigration consultant or GDRFA to assess. We ensure your statements are translated accurately so authorities can review them.
What Period Do Statements Need to Cover?
For most Golden Visa applications, you need six months of statements. This should be the most recent six months. If you are applying in December 2025, your statements should cover June to November 2025.
Some visa categories may require twelve months. Others may accept three months. Check with your advisor or the specific portal requirements before getting statements translated.
Digital Exports vs Bank-Certified Statements
This is a common question. The answer is: digital PDF exports from your online banking portal are usually acceptable. You do not need to visit your bank branch for stamped statements unless specifically required.
What matters is that the statement shows:
- Bank name and logo clearly visible
- Your account holder name matching passport
- Account number (can be partially masked)
- Full date range covered
- Opening and closing balances
- Transaction history
If you have concerns about authenticity, some banks offer digitally signed PDF exports. These have cryptographic verification that proves they came from the bank.
Multiple Banks and Multiple Currencies
Many people maintain accounts across several banks: a salary account in UAE, savings in home country, investment accounts elsewhere. This is normal and acceptable for visa applications.
When translating statements from multiple banks:
- Each bank's statements are translated separately but as a coordinated package
- Currency is noted clearly (USD, EUR, INR, GBP, AED)
- We can provide a cover sheet summarizing total balances if helpful
- Statements from foreign banks in foreign languages are translated to Arabic
Foreign Bank Statements
If your savings are in your home country bank, those statements need translation too. Common scenarios:
India (SBI, HDFC, ICICI, etc.)
Statements are usually bilingual Hindi-English or English only. We translate the English statement to Arabic. If statement is Hindi only, we handle that too. INR balances are translated with clear currency notation.
Pakistan (HBL, UBL, MCB, etc.)
Statements in Urdu or English are translated to Arabic. PKR amounts are noted with currency. Some Pakistani banks issue statements with mixed Urdu-English formatting.
UK/USA/European Banks
English language statements translated to Arabic. Multi-currency accounts with USD, EUR, GBP handled with clear currency notation throughout.
Cryptocurrency and Investment Accounts
Some Golden Visa categories accept cryptocurrency holdings or investment portfolios as proof of wealth. If you need to demonstrate crypto holdings, we can translate:
- Exchange account statements (Binance, Coinbase, etc.)
- Portfolio summaries showing holdings and values
- Transaction histories if required
Check with your visa advisor first whether crypto documentation is accepted for your specific category. Acceptance varies.
Page Count and Pricing
Bank statement translation is priced by page count because statements vary dramatically in length. A summary-only statement might be 2 pages. Six months of detailed transactions could be 50+ pages.
Typical page counts we see:
- Summary statements: 2-5 pages (basic account info, monthly totals)
- Detailed statements (3 months): 10-20 pages
- Detailed statements (6 months): 20-50 pages
- Active trading accounts: 50+ pages
Send us your statements via WhatsApp for an exact quote. We can advise whether you need all transaction pages or just summary pages for your specific requirement.
What We Actually Translate
Every element of your bank statement is translated:
- Account holder name and address
- Account type and number
- Statement period dates
- Opening and closing balances
- Each transaction date
- Transaction descriptions
- Debit and credit amounts
- Running balance after each transaction
- Bank footer information and disclaimers
Realistic Timeline
Timeline depends on page count. Standard delivery for a 10-page statement is 24 hours. A 50-page statement may need 48 hours. Express service cuts these times roughly in half. VIP Concierge prioritizes immediately.
If you have multiple statements from multiple banks, we can work on them in parallel. Let us know your visa application deadline and we will advise on feasibility.
