Send Your DocumentThis guide covers which Schengen visa documents from the UAE often need translating into English. It does not cover visa eligibility, appointments, or whether a consulate will accept a file. The embassy or VFS decides those.
Documents embassies and VFS usually list
Tourist Schengen checklists for UAE residents commonly ask for:
- bank statements for the last three months (often on bank letterhead or bank-stamped);
- an employer salary or employment letter, and in many cases a no-objection certificate (NOC);
- proof of accommodation for the trip (hotel booking or host invitation);
- flight reservation and travel insurance (typically €30,000 Schengen-wide cover);
- UAE residence evidence.
Examples of those lists: the Switzerland VFS tourism checklist for the UAE (documents in English, translated to English, or a Swiss language), the Czech Republic VFS tourism checklist, and the Italy Abu Dhabi tourism checklist (kinship certificates legally translated into Italian or English when a sponsor NOC is used). Always open the checklist for the country you apply through before you order a translation.
Which Arabic documents need English?
These UAE papers are often Arabic-only and need an English translation when the checklist asks for them:
- salary certificate / employment letter;
- NOC from the sponsor or employer;
- tenancy contract or Ejari extract when used as a UAE-ties document;
- family book (Khulasat Al Qaid) when kinship must be shown.
Bank statements are frequently English already. If your statement is Arabic-only, see our guide to the Schengen visa bank statement in Arabic. For fixed-scope pricing after a document check, start at pricing.
How we translate
- English ↔ Arabic translation of the documents you send, with every stamp and seal shown.
- Arabic–English translations are signed by an MOJ-licensed legal translator.
- We check the documents and confirm the price before payment on every order.
What we don’t do
We do not book VFS appointments, complete embassy forms, or decide if a file is complete. Those steps stay with you and the embassy or VFS, and the consulate decides the visa.
Send a photo of the Arabic documents with the WhatsApp button on this page for a scope check.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our translation services.
Which Schengen documents from the UAE usually need English translation?
Arabic-only papers are the usual case: a salary or employment letter, a no-objection certificate (NOC), a tenancy or Ejari contract, and a family book when kinship must be shown. Bank statements are often issued in English; if yours is Arabic-only, it needs an English version. Check the checklist for the country you apply through.
Do you decide if my Schengen file is complete?
No. We translate the documents you send. The embassy or VFS Global checklist for that country decides what belongs in the file, and the consulate decides the visa.
Who signs the translation?
Arabic–English translations are signed by an MOJ-licensed legal translator. We confirm the language pair and the price before payment.
