Hindi Document Translation for UAE Use
Begin with the original Devanagari page and the recipient's actual request. Do not assume that English, Arabic, an apostille or a particular credential applies to every Indian document.
- Keep a degree with its marksheets and any continuation or endorsement pages
- Retain Devanagari signs, Hindi digits, tables, stamps and handwritten entries in the source image
- Choose the passport or existing destination record as the name reference
- Ask the recipient which target language and submission format it requires
- Verify translation credentials separately from Indian or UAE document authentication
Translation Services for the Hindi Community
A marksheet, municipal certificate and affidavit are not interchangeable. Keep the related pages together and follow the requirements of the organisation that will use them.
Municipal & Civil Records
Birth, marriage, death and domicile documents need the issuing details, seals and identity spellings kept visible.
🎓Degrees & Marksheets
A degree title without its marksheet or reverse endorsement can leave the subject, grade or institution unclear.
⚖️Affidavits & Powers
Ask the lawyer, court or authority for the target language and accepted credential before selecting the service.
🏢Company & Tax Files
Registrations, resolutions and tax records often mix Devanagari, English, codes and tabular figures.
✓Source-File Check
Inspect the scan for cropped margins, faint Hindi text, missing schedules and inconsistent Latin spellings.
Start with the issuing record, not an assumed chain
Indian documents can look similar in a message while belonging to different personal, educational or commercial processes.
The source-file checklist helps catch missing pages before anyone quotes. Use the Hindi to English page when that direction is settled; use this hub while deciding between English, Arabic or another recipient-led output.
Specialist Translation Services
Devanagari shaping, script-specific digits and bilingual tables make the original page more useful than retyped text or a document name sent alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our translation services.
What belongs in a Hindi document enquiry?
Attach the complete scan, not a typed summary. Keep marksheets, schedules and reverse endorsements with the main record. State who will use it, which language they requested, the deadline and the passport spelling that should control personal names.
Is English always the right target language?
No. English may suit an overseas employer or university; a named UAE court or authentication process may ask for Arabic and an eligible provider. Obtain that instruction from the recipient instead of inferring it from the Indian document type.
Why should I send the original Devanagari page instead of typed text?
The Unicode Standard explains that Devanagari characters combine and may change shape or display order in context. It also records script-specific digits that can appear alongside European digits. A full image preserves the signs, numbers, layout, stamps, and handwriting needed for a reliable scope.
Who is allowed to translate Hindi in the UAE?
Under Federal Decree-Law No. 22 of 2022, a translator or translation house practising in the UAE must be registered and licensed, apart from the law's narrow judicial exception. A court or authority's acceptance rule is a separate Article 3 question. Ask for the fulfilling provider and language-pair scope before ordering.
Does India's apostille status give every document the same UAE route?
No. The Convention entered into force for India on 14 July 2005. India's Ministry of External Affairs separately describes apostille and normal attestation and routes personal, educational and commercial documents through different preliminary authorities. The named UAE or overseas recipient still controls the destination requirements.
Which English spelling should be used for a Hindi name?
Use the passport or the identity record already controlling the destination file. Supply earlier English or Arabic versions when they exist. Devanagari does not force one Latin spelling, so a quote should record the selected reference rather than leaving that decision to the end.
What should be agreed before translation starts?
The written scope should list the pages, Hindi-to-Arabic or Hindi-to-English direction, tables or formatting, name references, provider credential where required, output format, price and timing. Ask the recipient to resolve any acceptance question that remains open.
Is translation the same as attestation?
No. OnlineTranslation.ae does not sell attestation. UAE MOFA describes attestation as a signatures-and-seals process, while translation creates the target-language text. Treat them as separate decisions and verify the current official route for the document involved.
