There are two certification paths, and which one you need is set by the body receiving your document.

If your Australian authority requires a NAATI-certified translation, we arrange it through a NAATI-certified translator. If it accepts a certified translation more broadly, we apply MOJ certification with a signed translator declaration. For documents going to UAE authorities, MOJ certification is what is required.

We confirm which path applies before you commit, because the wrong certification is the most expensive mistake on an Australian submission.

Understanding NAATI Accreditation

NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) is the body that accredits translation professionals in Australia. When Australian authorities require NAATI-certified translation, they expect the translator to hold a NAATI credential issued after passing the relevant accreditation exam.

For applicants based in the UAE, documents issued by UAE authorities need to be translated into English by a qualified translator. The certification must be in a form that Australian bodies can verify.

Where that means NAATI specifically, we arrange certification through a NAATI-certified translator. Accuracy alone does not make a translation NAATI-certified. We will not present MOJ certification as though it were.

For documents going the other direction — Australian documents needed for UAE submissions — MOJ certification is what UAE authorities require. We apply MOJ certification to Australian-origin documents translated for UAE courts, GDRFA, or MOHRE submissions.

Skills Assessment Bodies and Their Requirements

Each Australian skills assessment authority has its own documentation requirements. VETASSESS handles trade and professional occupations. ACS (Australian Computer Society) assesses IT professionals. Engineers Australia handles engineering credentials. ANMAC assesses nursing and midwifery qualifications.

All of these bodies require translated documents that are complete, accurate, and produced by a qualified translator. The translated content must match the original exactly. Formatting, layout, and terminology must be consistent with Australian government expectations.

Arabic Documents for Australian Immigration
