Vietnamese Document Translation for UAE Use
Vietnamese names and words can change when marks are lost or misread during conversion. Preserve the original text, then ask the recipient which output and credential it will accept.
- Use the original digital file when available; otherwise send a sharp, uncropped image
- Keep tone and vowel marks visible even when the passport uses an unaccented name
- Supply the passport and any spelling already used by the destination organisation
- Choose English, Arabic or another output only after the recipient answers
- Do not treat Viet Nam's future Apostille Convention date as a current submission route
Translation Services for the Vietnamese Community
For Vietnamese records, text integrity comes first: preserve the digital source or a sharp image before deciding whether the destination needs English, Arabic or another output.
Civil-Status Records
Birth, marriage and family records should be paired with the passport form of each name and any registration continuation page.
🎓Diplomas & Transcripts
Institution names, grades and programme titles need the full Vietnamese source, including tables and reverse endorsements.
⚖️Legal & Administrative Use
A power of attorney or court record needs a named forum and requested target language before credential selection.
🏢Company Records
Registrations, charters and contracts may mix Vietnamese text, English names, codes, signatures and financial tables.
✓Image & Name Check
Look for stripped accents, blurry seals, cropped pages and a passport spelling that differs from the source.
Protect the text before choosing the route
A clean source and an agreed identity spelling prevent errors that no generic acceptance claim can repair.
Use the image and document checklist before sending a compressed scan. When English is the confirmed destination language, use the Vietnamese to English page. This hub handles the earlier question: what language and route does the recipient actually need?
Specialist Translation Services
Multiple marks can sit on one letter, while passports may omit them. Compare the source, identity record and prior destination spelling rather than normalising by eye.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our translation services.
What is the best source for a Vietnamese translation enquiry?
Prefer the original digital file because it preserves characters and marks. If that is unavailable, send a sharp image of every page and reverse side. Add the recipient, requested language, intended use, deadline and both the accented source name and passport form.
When should Vietnamese be translated into English rather than Arabic?
When the named recipient requests English. An overseas organisation may do so, while a UAE court or authentication service can require Arabic and a particular eligible provider. Destination rules, not the source language, decide the output.
Why do Vietnamese diacritics need a separate check?
The Unicode Standard records that Vietnamese regularly uses multiple diacritics on a single letter. The same visible text can also be represented with precomposed or combining characters. Send the original file or a sharp full-page image and use the passport spelling as the identity reference.
Who may provide Vietnamese translation in the UAE?
UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 22 of 2022 requires the practising translator or translation house to be registered and licensed, except for a narrow judicial-authority provision. Article 3 separately addresses court and authentication or certification acceptance. Ask any provider to identify the fulfilling party and registered pair where a credential matters.
Can Vietnamese documents use the Apostille Convention now?
Not yet on 9 August 2026. The Convention enters into force for Viet Nam on 11 September 2026. Before that date, accession does not create a Convention route; after it, the document, destination and recipient still have to qualify. Verify current official instructions for the intended date of use.
Should accents be copied into the English name?
Preserve them when quoting or reading the Vietnamese source, but use the passport or destination record for the controlling English identity field. Keep both versions visible in the enquiry so a missing accent is not mistaken for a different person.
What needs to appear in the written scope?
Ask for the exact pages, target language, name reference, layout work, fulfilling provider and credential where relevant, output format, price and timing. The scope should flag any unreadable character or recipient question rather than silently guessing.
Does a translation include attestation?
No. OnlineTranslation.ae does not sell attestation. UAE MOFA describes attestation as verification of signatures and seals. A translated file does not replace that step, and Viet Nam's future Convention date should not be used to promise a fixed chain.
