When someone is hurt in a road accident in the UAE, the emergency visit usually produces several separate reports: one for each CT scan or X-ray, a consultation note from the specialist who examined the patient, and sometimes a discharge summary or a cost estimate for further treatment. Hospitals that run their records in English print each of these from their own system.

Those reports become evidence of the injuries. In a traffic case they go to the police, the public prosecution and the traffic court; in a claim they go to the motor insurer or the injured person's own insurer. Because the courts and prosecution work in Arabic, the bundle is translated into Arabic so the judge, the prosecutor or the claims officer reads the same findings the doctor wrote.

A medical translation for a legal file has to be faithful rather than readable at any cost. We keep the order of sections, every measured value and every abbreviation, and we translate the doctor's words without explaining or softening them.

What these hospital reports look like

  • Radiology reports headed * Final Report *, with the exam name such as CT Head or Brain w/o Contrast, and a patient block listing CMRN, RIS Procedure ID, DOB, age and sex, exam date and time, contrast, patient type, ordering physician and reason for exam.
  • A Technique line and a Findings section, followed by Result type, Result status such as Auth (Verified) or Modified, Performed by, Verified by and Encounter info lines.
  • Consultation notes marked Document Contains Addenda, with Chief Complaint, Reason for Consultation, History of Present Illness, Review of Systems, Physical Exam with vitals, and Assessment/Plan.
  • A side column of problem list, procedure history, medications with doses and frequencies, allergies and social history, and a Printed by footer with page numbers such as Page 1 of 3.

What to send

  • Every report the court, prosecution or insurer asked for, as the complete PDF, including the last page even if it only carries the footer.
  • Any discharge summary, sick leave note or medical cost estimate you also plan to file.
  • The patient's name in Arabic as written on the Emirates ID or passport, so it matches the case file.
  • The name of the receiving body, for example the traffic court, the public prosecution or the insurer.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our translation services.

How much does it cost to translate a hospital medical report into Arabic?

We do not publish a fixed price for hospital reports, because one emergency visit can produce a single page or a bundle of radiology and consultation reports, and we would rather confirm an honest figure for your own file. Send every report on WhatsApp, as the full PDFs the hospital printed. A real person on our team replies on WhatsApp within 1 to 3 minutes and then confirms the exact price for your file before you pay. The translation is done English into Arabic by an MOJ-licensed legal translator, and the page count is agreed with you first.

Why does a traffic court or the prosecution need the reports in Arabic?

UAE courts, public prosecution and police work in Arabic. After a road accident, the emergency department, radiology and consultation reports that describe the injuries are usually added to the case file, and reports written in English are filed with an Arabic translation by a legal translator licensed in the UAE. Insurers handling a motor or injury claim often ask for the same bundle.

How do you handle medical terms, abbreviations and values?

We use the standard Arabic medical term and keep the English term in brackets where a reader may need it. Abbreviations such as CT, MRI, BP, SpO2, PRN or q6hr, drug names, doses, measurements and scale scores are carried over exactly. We do not interpret, shorten or correct the doctor's findings; if a line is unreadable on the scan, we mark it as illegible instead of guessing.

How are the pages counted?

Each printed page of each report is one billed page, including continuation pages with results, addenda or the signature footer. Radiology reports are often two or three pages each, so a typical emergency visit can come to a dozen pages or more. We agree the page count for the whole bundle on WhatsApp before payment.

Will the court or the insurer accept the translation?

The court, the prosecution or the insurer receiving the file makes the acceptance decision. We translate the reports you send exactly as written. We do not give medical or legal advice or contact the hospital, and we do not change what the doctor wrote.
