About Sharjah tenancy contracts

OnlineTranslation.ae is an independent service partner. In Sharjah, leases are written on a standard form and registered with Sharjah Municipality, which stamps the contract and gives it a number. The details are usually filled in Arabic, so landlords, banks and offices outside the UAE often cannot read it.

We translate the contract as it stands: party names, Emirates ID or passport fields, the area and plot, the annual rent in figures and words, the cheque dates, the deposit and the duration. Clause numbering stays the same so a lawyer can match the English line by line with the Arabic.

If the lease is part of a rent dispute together with emails, notices and chat messages, the dispute documents page explains how a full file is quoted.

How to recognise a Sharjah tenancy contract

  • The Sharjah Municipality name and emblem at the top, with a contract or registration number.
  • A table of landlord, tenant, property and rent details on the first page.
  • Printed general terms, often on the reverse, plus a box for special conditions.
  • A municipality attestation stamp and the signatures of both parties.

What to send

  • Every page of the contract, front and back, with all stamps visible.
  • Any addendum or renewal page, so we can tell you if it changes the price.
  • Passport spellings of the landlord and tenant names.
  • The office or country that will receive the English version.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our translation services.

How much does Sharjah tenancy contract translation into English cost?

The standard price is AED 150 for one Sharjah tenancy contract on the municipality form, up to two pages, translated from Arabic into English by an MOJ-licensed translator and delivered as a stamped PDF. Express and urgent timing are not priced here; ask on WhatsApp and we confirm any amount before you pay.

Why would I need my Sharjah lease in English?

Common reasons are a visa or family sponsorship file abroad, an embassy, a bank or employer outside the UAE, a home-country tax office, or an English-speaking lawyer reviewing a rent dispute. Check what the receiving office asks for before you order.

My contract is a Dubai Ejari or from another emirate. Is it the same price?

This price is for the Sharjah form. Dubai Land Department contracts are already printed in two languages, and forms from Ajman, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates differ, so we quote them after review.

Are the handwritten conditions translated?

Yes. Additional terms written by hand or typed into the special-conditions box are part of the contract and are translated with the printed clauses. If a word cannot be read, we mark it as illegible rather than guess.

Will the receiving office accept the translation?

The receiving office makes the final acceptance decision. Some also ask for the contract to be attested first; attestation is a separate step and is not included. Send its instruction with the contract so we can check the format.
