Email and Letter Translation (English and Arabic)

We translate printed emails, whole email threads and business letters from English into Arabic, usually for a UAE court, labour or police file, and Arabic letters into English for a head office, a lawyer or a bank abroad. There is no published price on this page: send the emails or letters on WhatsApp. A real person on our team replies on WhatsApp within 1 to 3 minutes and then confirms the exact price for your file before you pay.

About translating emails and letters

OnlineTranslation.ae is an independent service partner. Many of the emails clients send us were written in English inside a UAE company and later became part of a dispute: an employee showing what a manager promised, a landlord and tenant arguing over a deposit, a supplier chasing unpaid invoices. Arabic is the working language of the onshore courts and of many government offices, so when those emails go into a file there, an Arabic translation goes with them.

An email thread is harder to translate than it looks. The newest message sits at the top, earlier replies are quoted underneath, and the same paragraph can appear four or five times. A reader needs to know who wrote what and when. We therefore rebuild the thread in date order, give every message its own header line, and keep the original time stamps, so a judge or an official can follow the exchange from the first email to the last.

Letters run the other way just as often. A warning letter, a notice from a landlord, a reply from a government office or a letter from a bank is issued in Arabic, and the person who received it, or their head office or lawyer abroad, needs to read it in English. We keep the reference number, date and signatory exactly as they appear, so the translation can be matched to the letter on file.

What emails and letters look like on paper

  • Each printed email opens with a header block: From, To, Cc, Date and Subject, sometimes with the sender's display name in a different language from the address.
  • Below the message come the sender's signature with job title and phone, often a long confidentiality notice, and a line listing attached files by name.
  • Replies quote the earlier messages underneath, introduced by lines such as "On Sunday, the sender wrote", which is why one short exchange can print over many pages.
  • A business letter carries the letterhead, an outgoing reference number and date, the addressee and a subject line, the body, then the signatory and the company stamp, sometimes with a received stamp or handwritten note in the margin.

What to send

  • The emails printed to PDF from your mail program, with the headers visible, rather than cropped screenshots.
  • Scans or clear photos of every page of each letter, including the back if anything is written or stamped there.
  • A note of which messages or pages you need, if not the whole printout, and whether repeated quotes should be translated each time.
  • Where the translation is going, for example a court, a labour office, the police, an employer or a lawyer abroad.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our translation services.

How much does it cost to translate emails or a letter?

We do not publish a fixed price here, because one order is a single one-page letter and the next is a printed email thread of thirty pages with replies quoted inside replies, and we would rather confirm an honest figure for your own file. Send the emails or letters on WhatsApp. A real person on our team replies on WhatsApp within 1 to 3 minutes and then confirms the exact price for your file before you pay. The page count is agreed with you first.

Do you translate every quoted reply in a long thread?

A printed thread often repeats the earlier messages underneath each new reply. By default we translate each message once, in date order, and mark where a repeated quote has been left out, so the translation is easier to follow and you do not pay for the same text several times. If the receiving body wants the printout translated exactly as printed, repeats included, tell us and we price it that way.

Are email addresses, links and names translated?

No. Email addresses, web links, file names and reference numbers stay exactly as written, so the translation can be matched to the original line by line. Personal and company names are written in the target language the way they appear in passports or trade licences when you give us those spellings.

Can you translate only some of the emails?

Yes. Many clients need only the messages that matter to their case or application. Mark the emails or pages you need, and we state clearly on the translation which messages it covers, so nobody reads it as the complete thread.

Will the court, authority or company accept the translation?

The court, authority, employer or company receiving the translation decides whether to accept it and whether it also wants the original printout. We translate what the emails and letters say. We do not give legal advice, judge whether the correspondence helps your case or contact the other party.
