Police Clearance Certificate Translation
About This Document
A police clearance certificate (PCC) confirms that an individual has no criminal record in the issuing country. Different countries use different names: good conduct certificate, criminal background check, certificate of no criminal conviction, or police check.
In the UAE, a certified PCC translation is frequently required for new employment visa applications, Golden Visa processing, professional license applications in regulated sectors, and certain business setup procedures.
We translate PCCs from every country and language. Whether your certificate is from India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Egypt, or anywhere else, we provide MOJ-certified translation accepted by all UAE government entities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our translation services.
How much does police clearance certificate translation cost in Dubai?
Standard PCC translation costs AED 150 for MOJ-certified legal translation from any language to Arabic or English. Express same-day and urgent 1-hour delivery are available at additional cost. This covers a standard single-page PCC.
How long is a police clearance certificate valid?
Most UAE authorities accept PCCs that are less than 3-6 months old from the date of issue. MOHRE typically requires a PCC issued within the last 3 months. For Golden Visa applications, check the specific validity requirement. The translation remains valid as long as the original PCC is valid.
Which countries require a PCC for UAE employment?
MOHRE requires a police clearance certificate from your country of last residence for most employment visa applications. This applies to applicants from all countries. Some free zones also require PCCs. The PCC must be translated into Arabic if issued in another language.
Do I need attestation for my PCC?
Yes, most UAE authorities require an attested PCC. If from a Hague Convention member country (India, UK, USA, Philippines, Canada), it can be apostilled. For non-Hague countries (Pakistan), it requires embassy attestation followed by MOFA attestation.
Can I use this for Golden Visa application?
Yes. The Golden Visa application requires a translated PCC from your country of nationality or last country of residence. The translation must be MOJ-certified. Government fees for Golden Visa processing are separate from our translation fee.
What if my PCC is in a language other than English?
We translate PCCs from any language, including Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog, Bengali, Malayalam, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian. Arabic-English translations are the most affordable. Other language pairs may cost more.
How long does the translation take?
Standard delivery is 1-2 business days. Express same-day and urgent 1-hour delivery are available. PCCs are straightforward documents and are often completed faster than estimated.
What does MOHRE require for work permit applications?
For MOHRE work permit applications, you typically need: (1) translated and attested PCC, (2) translated degree certificate, (3) passport copies, and (4) medical fitness certificate. All translations must be MOJ-certified.
Do I need a PCC from the UAE if I already live here?
If changing employers or applying for a new visa category within the UAE, you may need a UAE Good Conduct Certificate from the Ministry of Interior. This is a separate document from your home country PCC. We translate both types.
What information appears on a police clearance certificate?
A standard PCC includes: full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, address, period of residence checked, and a statement confirming the presence or absence of criminal records. All fields are translated as part of the service.
