Tenancy Contract Translation (Arabic and English)

We translate UAE tenancy contracts and lease agreements between Arabic and English: Dubai Ejari contracts with their extra terms pages, Abu Dhabi Tawtheeq contracts, contracts from the other emirates, and private or commercial leases. There is no published price on this page: send the contract on WhatsApp. A real person on our team replies on WhatsApp within 1 to 3 minutes and then confirms the exact price for your file before you pay.

About translating tenancy contracts

OnlineTranslation.ae is an independent service partner. A tenancy contract is often the first document asked for when someone needs to prove where they live: a bank opening an account, an embassy processing a family visa, an employer abroad, a school or a foreign tax office. Many of those readers cannot read Arabic, and many UAE contracts carry their most important terms only in Arabic, so an English translation goes with the copy.

The opposite direction matters just as much. When a landlord and tenant disagree about rent, the deposit or an early exit, the papers go to a rental dispute body or a court that works in Arabic. A lease drafted only in English, or the English additional terms added to a bilingual form, then needs an Arabic translation that keeps every clause and number intact.

The Dubai unified contract is already printed in two languages, but the boxes are filled in by hand or typed in one language only, and the pages of extra terms the landlord attaches are usually in one language too. We translate what is actually written in each box and each clause, not the printed labels alone, so the translation says the same thing as the signed copy.

What a UAE tenancy contract looks like on paper

  • A Dubai Ejari contract opens with the contract and registration numbers and dates, then boxes for the owner and lessor, the tenant, the property with its plot and premises numbers, and the DEWA premises number.
  • The money section lists the annual rent, the security deposit and the payment method, often with a schedule of post-dated cheques by number, date and amount.
  • Abu Dhabi Tawtheeq contracts and the forms used in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain follow their own layout, with different field names and clause numbering.
  • Most contracts end with extra pages of additional terms on maintenance, notice, renewal and penalties, then the signatures of both parties, and sometimes handwritten changes initialled in the margin.

What to send

  • A clear scan or photos of every page, including the additional terms pages and any addendum or renewal.
  • The back of each page if anything is written, stamped or initialled there.
  • Tell us if you need only certain pages, for example for a visa where the first page and the signatures may be enough.
  • Where the translation is going, for example a bank, an embassy, an employer abroad, a rental dispute body or a court.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our translation services.

How much does it cost to translate a tenancy contract?

We do not publish a fixed price here, because one order is a two-page Ejari contract and the next is a commercial lease of twenty pages with schedules, and we would rather confirm an honest figure for your own file. Send the contract on WhatsApp. A real person on our team replies on WhatsApp within 1 to 3 minutes and then confirms the exact price for your file before you pay. The page count is agreed with you first.

My Ejari contract is already in Arabic and English. Why translate it?

The printed labels on the Dubai form are bilingual, but the details typed or written into it, and the additional terms pages, are often in one language only. A reader who does not know Arabic cannot check the names, dates or special terms. We translate the filled-in content and the extra pages so the full agreement can be read in one language.

Do you also translate the cheque list and the additional terms?

Yes. The cheque schedule, the additional terms and any addendum are part of the contract and we translate them with the rest. If you only need some pages, tell us which ones and we state clearly on the translation what it covers.

Can you translate a lease from Abu Dhabi or another emirate?

Yes. We translate Tawtheeq contracts from Abu Dhabi and contracts from Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, as well as private leases drawn up by a landlord or a lawyer. The Sharjah Municipality contract has its own page with a fixed price.

Will the bank, embassy or court accept the translation?

The bank, embassy, court or other body receiving the translation decides whether to accept it and what else it needs with it. We translate what the contract says. We do not register contracts, give legal advice on the lease or contact the landlord or tenant.
